Chantal is a young female cat that grew up in a tourist seaside village. The end of the tourist season turns her birth town into a ghost town. Along with a clowder of other strays, Chantal embarks on an odyssey across the small island in search of a peculiar monk named Aquarelle — the man who she believes is destined to be her foster parent.
