We are thrilled to announce a cinematography masterclass with emerging Greek Director of Photography Akis Konstantakopoulos GSC, on June 2, 2024, at 2:30 PM at Regal LA Live. His recent film, LIGHT FALLS, directed by his mentor and LAGFF/GGFI Industry Leader Phedon Papamichael ASC CSG, will screen at the 18th LAGFF. And we are happy to partner with Los Angeles City College once again!

A graduate of Harvard University and the American Film Institute, Akis Konstantakopoulos has photographed over 25 features and 100 scripted/unscripted projects. Feature film credits include: ARISTOTLE AND DANTE DISCOVER THE SECRETS OF THE UNIVERSE for Aitch Alberto, with executive producer Lin-Manuel Miranda (world premiere TIFF ’22); SHUT IN for blockbuster director D.J Caruso; LIGHT FALLS, a thriller directed by Oscar-nominated Phedon Papamichael, ASC (world premiere Camerimage ’23); and RUNNING FOR GRACE, starring Jim Caviezel and Matt Dillon (“masterfully photographed by Akis” – Variety). More recently, Konstantakopoulos lensed Jon Erwin’s latest film, JESUS REVOLUTION for Lionsgate, which was #2 at the box office in ’23 for multiple weeks. In addition to his feature film work, he has photographed all 5 Seasons of the widely popular show THE CHOSEN (Prime, Peacock, Netflix, the CW) which has been the only TV show to be released theatrically, amassing over $60 million at the box office. His commercial and music video clients include: Cher, The Lumineers, Paul Mitchell, Samsung, National Bank of Greece, FX, and HBO. Konstantakopoulos is a member of the honorary Greek Society of Cinematographers (GSC) and is represented worldwide by Zero Gravity Management.

Alex Franklin a Below the Line Talent Manager at Zero Gravity where he founded the Production Department in 2019. He began his entertainment industry career in Hollywood at New Line Cinema where he assisted on the feature film FREQUENCY and on the Denzel Washington film JOHN Q. He then moved to Artisan Entertainment where he became a Creative Executive. At Artisan, he worked with Kevin Feige and the Marvel team developing numerous titles including THE PUNISHER. He subsequently moved to Lionsgate Films where he worked with noted genre producer Peter Block on numerous horror and genre titles including the SAW franchise After Lionsgate, Franklin worked at Dimension Films on the reboot of the HALLOWEEN franchise with director Rob Zombie, and on the SCARY MOVIE franchise with director David Zucker (AIRPLANE, TEH NAKED GUN). His last film as a development executive was YOUTH IN REVOLT, directed by Miguel Arteta. He has also been working as a Lecturer at the UCLA Department of Film, Television and Digital Media since 2011.
